چکیده

• Internal Fruit Rot (IFR) is a major threat in bell pepper postharvest life. MAP storage of peppers can ameliorate Fusarium IFR occurrence at 20 °C. Low oxygen levels restrict fungal growth rather than an altered fruit metabolism. sensitivity likely related to flower susceptibility. Further work mimicking commercial handling required. Bell ( Capsicum annuum L.), with its wide array colors and flavors, plays important role many different cuisines around the world. Yet once harvested, it highly perishable needs appropriate post-harvest handling. Recently, internal rotting by lactis species complex isolates (FLASC), became additional challenge maintain shelf-life quality fruit. Therefore, modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) was explored as possible technique postpone symptom development infected peppers. Four artificially cultivars susceptibility towards were stored under conditions for maximum 14 d challenging °C resembling unrefrigerated shelf life conditions. Each week, 5 each object analyzed physicochemical parameters. For all cultivars, packaged showed less severe proliferation compared controls after d. As total titratable acid (TA), soluble solids (TSS) vitamin C concentrations remained stable throughout experiment, be postponed directly due reduced pouches decreased host influencing Since no significant differences disease observed between sensitive both colors, seems not caused patterns but initial infection normal Based on our results, indeed considered useful tool during conventional temperatures 7?16

Management of blight of bell pepper (Capsicum annuum var. grossum) caused by Drechslera bicolor

Sweet or bell pepper is a member of the Solanaceae family and is regarded as one of the most popular and nutritious vegetable. Blight, in the form of leaf and fruit blight, has been observed to infect bell pepper crops cultivated at the horticulture farm in Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur, India. Based on disease severity, we attempted to curb this newly emerged problem using differen...

Ripening of pepper (Capsicum annuum) fruit is characterized by an enhancement of protein tyrosine nitration.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Pepper (Capsicum annuum, Solanaceae) fruits are consumed worldwide and are of great economic importance. In most species ripening is characterized by important visual and metabolic changes, the latter including emission of volatile organic compounds associated with respiration, destruction of chlorophylls, synthesis of new pigments (red/yellow carotenoids plus xanthophylls a...

Proteome analysis of bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) chromoplasts.

We report a comprehensive proteome analysis of chromoplasts from bell pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). The combination of a novel strategy for database-independent detection of proteins from tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) data with standard database searches allowed us to identify 151 proteins with a high level of confidence. These include several well-known plastid proteins but also novel protei...

Role of Ascorbate on the Fruit Physiology of Pepper (Capsicum annuum L.)

Ascorbate (vitamin C) is essential for cell metabolism, and its supply to the human diet derives basically from the consumption of fruits and vegetables. Several biosynthetic pathways of ascorbate have been reported in plants, the major physiological one being the so-called Smirnoff-Wheeler pathway. Ascorbate is a powerful antioxidant in plants, although it also plays an important role in hormo...
